Superfície Desordem (Surface Disorder)

Jonathan Uriel Saldanha

The Municipal Galleries present Jonathan Uliel Saldanha’s exhibition Superfície Desordem (Surface Disorder) on the ground floor of the Torreão Nascente da Cordoaria Nacional.

Presented in Lisbon after its debut in Porto, the exhibition enters a new operational context. In the words of Jonathan Uliel Saldanha, “it is not a repetition, but a reinfestation. A pulse that pierces the concrete. A signal resent, re-echoed. From this disorder emerges a restless sentence — not defined by identity, but by friction.
(…)
Machines that dream in the language of fungi, violence encoded in gestures, masks that observe without eyes. These objects emerge from an involvement with systems that not only exceed but reconfigure the human: militarised infrastructures, decomposition protocols, algorithmic whispers, the traces of planetary trauma.”
