Noites de Verão [Summer Nights]

From April to June of this year Lula Pena was in residency at Galeria Zé dos Bois, inviting the Lantana group to collaborate. Challenging them to deconstruct their repertoire, they worked in improvisational language. Lula and a smaller version of the band – Anna Piosik on the trumpet, Helena Espvall and Joana Guerra on the cellos, Maria do Mar on the violin – present on this occasion their intuitive and holistic music for the first time live and under open air. This afternoon concert is a celebration of the freedom of discovery, stripped of artifices and the regimentation of spectacle, toying with the beauty of transformation of each moment that passes.
