Guided Tour and Talk “Mise en Abyme”

In the context of the exhibition “Mise en Abyme”, the artist, together with the curator Julião Sarmento, João Mourão and Alexandre Melo, will conduct a guided tour followed by a conversation. Mise en abyme is the result of a proposal that the artist Julião Sarmento (Lisbon, 1948), curator of this exhibition, made to Eduardo Batarda (Coimbra, 1943). The exhibition presents a set of 21 paintings at Pavilhão Branco, some of which have never been shown. The works presented stem from different periods spanning four decades of work, from 1966 through 2002.
